A moment captured

Hello dear friends!
This month I'm guest designing for 7Dots Studio
and I'm very happy and honored!

For my first post I wanted to make a boyish layout and I found the perfect paper in Verano Azul collection.
I left almost the half of the paper free from embellishments and paints because I wanted the beautiful pattern to be conspicuous. I also used some die cuts from the Lost and Found collection.

Just breathe forever *with video tutorial

Happy Monday dear friends!
How many of you happened to be so charmed by a single vintage photo that it inspired a whole art piece?
When I saw this beautiful vintage photo from Finnabair's Ephemera Vintage Collectibles I knew exactly what I wanted to make: a vintage canvas.
This photo evokes so many emotions for me, like nostalgia, romanticism and melancholy in a beautiful way and I wanted to include all these feelings in my canvas.
So, here is my project for Finnabair Creative Team:

I started creating the background by doodling with a soft drawing pencil and used Clear Gesso in order to seal it and make sure that it wouldn't go away no matter what.
Then I made custom paints with Soft Matte Gel and Mica Powders and used them with a beautiful Lace stencil.
I also used stamps, Crackle Texture Paste and a few Art Ingredients to create various textures and dimension to the project.

The Mechanical Flowers  were the perfect embellishment for my canvas, I really love how they look there!
I also made a couple of paper embellishments with stamps and embossing powders.

You can watch the hole process step by step in my video.

I had a really great time creating this project, based on just one beautiful photo!
Maybe you will find your inspirational photo and create a romantic vintage project too :)

make it happen - simple art journal page

Happy November everyone!
Today I'm sharing a super simple art journal page for ColourArte.

I had this cute small label 'make it happen' and found the perfect match colors in Twinkling H2Os.  So I used:
ColourArte products:
Other Supplies:
  • Finnabair stencil
  • Finnabair White heavy gesso
  • Finnabair Modeling Paste
  • Finnabair Stamp
  • StazOn ink jet black
  • 7Dots Studio label
  • washi tape
  • thread
First I found the right colors to match with the colors of the label and sprayed some water to activate them. I covered the hole page with white gesso and used the stencil with the modeling paste to create texture on the background.

When the modeling paste was dry, I glued the thread with the washi tape in order to create two different sections on the page. I sprayed some water and painted here and there with the H2Os watercolors with a paintbrush. I also made some splashes with the darker color 'Black Emerald'.
When it was dry, I spread some powder of the three PE colors here and there and sprayed them with water. I let it dry.

Last thing to do was to stamp the sentence and glue the label.
