Hello, Goodbye and a flashback!

Well, it really has been an awesome scrappy year 

with many delightful and fun moments on my crafty desk and a lot of inspiration! 

I picked some of my favorites projects I created in 2014 and just wanted to show to you, with no particular reason, just because they are my favorite ones and had much fun creating them :)

Hello friends!

Today we have a super challenge starting at Scrap Africa with this beautiful mood board...

Isn't it gorgeous? All these flowers, the beautiful violin, the color combination, just amazing inspiration!

So, I desided to created a journal page this time and I think I manged to include and combine all the elements given by the mood board with mixed media techniques...

I also inspired by Prima's BAP sketch which is amazing too - I love Kasia's work!!!...

So, I used for my page a paper from an old Prima collection"Tea-Thyme' and some more Prima products I had in my stash: masks, stamps, a typo bulb and some resin frames...

...and I wrote a quote on my page which I found on Pinterest - I really love these words...

When she transformed into a butterfly

the caterpillars spoke not of her beauty 

but of her weirdness.

They wanted her to change back

into what she always had been.

Hello everyone!

Today is Scrap Africa's new challenge reveal and the sketch is absolutely gorgeous!! 

When I saw Denise's sketch it came straight in my mind this photo, which I have found in an old album at my parent's house. This album belonged to my beloved grandma who died at the age of 94 (I can' t believe that 11 years have past since then) and is full of original vintage photos of her life.  She was born at 1909- you can imagine how old are they, they will not even need to be distressed! Now all these photos (and there are a lot of them) are in my hands and I' m going to make an album for them... Well, these are my first two pages and there are going to be a lot more of them :)

To the sketch now: I think it can be interpreted in so many ways not only because it is beautifully designed, but also because it has this 60's vibe going on there, which I absolutely adore. So whatever your style is, it would be a perfect base to work with. I can' t wait to see what you will come up with it!

I'm back! ~ journal book for sewing patterns

 Μετά από ακριβώς 1 χρόνο επιστρέφω με scrapbookικό project!

Ένα βιβλίο για να μαζεύω τα πατρόν από τις υφασμάτινες δημιουργίες μου που τα έχω πεταμένα εδώ και εκεί... 

It has been a year since I posted my last scrapbook page... Well, here I am with my new beginning's  first project: a book to collect the patterns of my fabric creations.

Το βιβλίο αυτό δεν είναι μόνο για να μαζεύω τα πατρόν (και γι' αυτό όπως θα δείτε παρακάτω έχω δημιουργήσει σε όλες τις σελίδες τσεπάκια), αλλά θα γίνει και art journal, 2 σε 1 δηλαδή :) Και πώς θα το κάνω αυτό; Κάθε φορά που θα αποθηκεύω ένα πατρόν θα κολλάω και την αντίστοιχη φωτογραφία της δημιουργίας, οδηγίες και ότι άλλο αφορά σε αυτή και όλα αυτά με πολλά μελάνια, στάμπες, μάσκες, κτλ... 

This book is not only to collect the templates (as you will see below I have put internal pockets on all pages ), but it will become and art journal, a 2-in-1 book. Each time I will save a template, there will be a corresponding photograph of my creation, instructions and everything that relates to it, using inks, stamps, masks, etc.

 Η έμπνευση για το εξώφυλλο μου ήρθε από μία τεχνοτροπία που λέγεται mail art (αν θέλετε να δείτε περισσότερα για το mail art δείτε την σελίδα μου στο pinterest που έχω μαζέψει διάφορα), το οποίο έφτιαξα με απλό χαρτί χειροτεχνίας και το δίπλωσα στα δύο, χωρίς να κολλήσω όλη την επιφάνειά του, έτσι ώστε να δημιουργηθούν τσεπάκια μπρος, αλλά και πίσω στο οπισθόφυλλο, για να κρατάω όλα τα αποκόμματα που θα χρησιμοποιήσω γεμίζοντας το βιβλίο...
The inspiration for the cover came from a technique called mail art (if you want to see more about mail art go to this board on pinterest) and I made it with craft paper folded in half, without sticking across its surface, so as to create pockets in front, and behind the back cover, to keep scraps for my pages ...

Η κουβαρίστρα δεν είναι κολλημένη, απλά χρησιμεύει για το δέσιμο της κορδέλας... λατρεύω τις κουβαρίστρες και γι' αυτό έβαλα και μια πιο μικρή στο τελείωμα της κορδέλας.

I used a spool to fasten the ribbon/lace... I love spools, so I attached one more tiny on the finish of the ribbon.

Τα χαρτιά που χρησιμοποίησα για το βιβλίο μου είναι από την εκτυπώσιμη συλλογή Memoir Journal της φίλης μου Νεκταρίας, η οποία τα έχει σχεδιάσει μόνη της (!!!) και μπορώ να πω ότι με έχουν συνεπάρει! Μπράβο Νεκταρία μου, έχεις κάνει καταπληκτική δουλειά!!!!!

These lovely papers I used for my book is from the printable collection 'Memoir Journal' of my friend Nectaria, who has designed them all by herself (!!!) and I must say that I have been fascinated by them! Well done Nektaria I really love them!!!

Έχω κάνει ακόμα ένα τσεπάκι στην πρώτη σελίδα για περισσότερα καρτελάκια, ετικέτες, φακελάκια, κτλ., ενώ στην δεύτερη σελίδα θα γράψω μια αφιέρωση για το βιβλίο.

I created one more pocket on the front page for more tags, labels, bags, etc. and I'm going to write a dedication for the book on the second page.

Τις υπόλοιπες σελίδες τις έχω αφήσει σχεδόν άδειες, εκτός από τα τσεπάκια και μερικά die cuts, και κάθε φορά που φτιάχνω κάτι θα σας το δείχνω φυσικά :)

I kept a simple layout for the rest of the pages, I only glued some pockets and die cuts but I think they will be soon full of inks and masks, lol!

Νεκταρία μου θα προσπαθήσω να κάνω ό,τι καλύτερο μπορώ με τα χαρτάκια σου, δεν μου πάει η καρδιά να τα μουτζουρώσω πολύ και να καλύψω τα υπέροχα σχέδιά τους :)

Full of Hopes

Καλημέρα και καλή χρονιά!!!

Επιτέλους έφυγε το 2012, μια όχι και τόσο καλή χρονιά για πολλούς και διάφορους λόγους - νομίζω ότι δεν χρειάζεται να το αναλύσω... Γενικά θέλω να πιστεύω ότι είμαι αισιόδοξος άνθρωπος και γι'αυτό το λόγο αποφάσισα να εστιάσω στις μέρες που θα έρθουν και στην ελπίδα, που νομίζω ότι όλοι έχουμε, για ένα καλύτερο αύριο...Τις σκέψεις αυτές τις αποτύπωσα σε μία σελίδα ημερολογίου με αφορμή την πρόκληση του Get Creative: 

Happy new year to you all!

At last, 2012 is now gone, a year that for many reasons was not that good, at least for me. In general, i think that I can be described as an optimist and for this reason I have decided to focus wishes and hopes for better days from now on, to a better tomorrow for everyone.

These personal thoughts were imprinted in a calendar's page for Get Creative's challenge.

Η αρχική ιδέα μου ήταν να περιέχει η σελίδα μάτια: ένα βλέμα που προσπαθεί να δει στο μέλλον, ή που φαντάζεται και αισιοδοξεί για αυτά που θα έρθουν. Το σκίτσο των ματιών που βλέπετε είναι η πρώτη απόπειρά μου (δεν έχω ξανακάνει σκίτσο με μολύβι) και μπορώ να πω ότι πραγματικά το διασκέδασα! Τα μάτια δεν είναι απόλυτα ίδια μεταξύ τους, αλλά δεν με πειράζει - ήθελα να φαίνεται και λίγο πρόχειρο... Άλλα υλικά που χρησιμοποίησα είναι: gesso, μαλακό μολύβι, σφραγίδες, μία μάσκα, σκισμένες σελίδες από παλιό βιβλίο, δαντέλες, κουμπί και συνδετηράκια, κ.α.

The translation of the text I wrote is: "What do I foresee for 2013? Nothing! The only thing I can do is hope for the best...". The initial idea was a pair of eyes; my eyes, an imaginative and optimistic look into the future. The eye's sketch is my first attempt in pencil drawing and I can say that I really enjoyed making it! There is a slight lack of symmetry in the eyes but I think that this imperfection is making the sketch better. The rest of the materials used are: gesso, soft pencil, stamps, a mask, torn book pages, laces, a button, paper clips, etc.

Η διπλή αυτή σελίδα βρίσκεται στο βιβλίο-ημερολόγιο που είχα φτιάξει πριν αρκετό καιρό και ακόμα προσπαθώ να το γεμίσω..:) Εδώ είναι μερικές ακόμα λεπτομέρειες για το εξώφυλλο και οπισθόφυλλο και εδώ είναι άλλη μια διπλή σελίδα που έχω κάνει...
