Sweetest memories

Hello Dear friends!
Today I'm sharing a canvas Ι made with the May 2015 Limited Edition Mega Set for Lindy's Stamp Gang
For this project I used all the sprays of the set, plus the Silver Moon Turquoise, Golden Angel Wings and Morning Glory Azure embossing powders.

First I added some light paste with two different stencils and then I glued all the layers of papers and the embellishments on the canvas.
After that, I had to deal with the chipboard piece 'FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS'. I used three different embossing powders: first the Silver Moon Turquoise, then the Morning Glory Azure and last the Golden Angel Wings. I really love the result, it's like real golden letters! One more thing I did, was to stamp on the embossed letters when they were still hot. You can do that only in a few seconds after the heating and the effect it gives is amazing!

Next thing to do, was to color the composition with the sprays. I sprayed with the soft colors first in several spots  and then I made only a few splashes with a paintbrush with the dark colors of the set.
I also used the Tilt A Weel TealRaspberry Lemonade and Merry Go Round Green magicals from the Under the Boardwalk set - just a tiny quantity of them in a few spots. Of course I didn't forget to make some stamps here and there as a final touch.

That was all for today.
I hope you got some inspiration and ideas - I'd love to see your projects for our color challenge!
Thank you for visiting, have a wonderful crafty time!

Color your world #2

 Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharsharing the second project for the April color challenge at Lindy's Stamp Gang. I decided for this month to create three projects with the same title 'color your world', because of the pallet with all these beautiful and bright colors!
So this is my #2 (you can see #1 project here).
For this project I used a very colorful photo I found on Web and the April 2015 Color Challenge MEGA Set.

First I applied some light paste with a mask and spread some Sunset Yellow embossing powder directly on it - believe me, it works perfectly that way! After heating it with the heat gun, I repeated the same process with another mask and the Tilt A Wheel Teal embossing powder and heated it again. Then, I made some splashes with all the sprays, I stamped a few stamps and that was all for the background!

I also used one of the sprays, the Magnolia Magneta Gold,  to watercolor the stamped flowers with a paint brush. It is really a pretty easy and fun way to use the sprays and believe me, you will love the result!

One other fun thing I did, was to draw with a permanent pen some funky flowers around the tiny spots of the splashes. I love how they turned!

I also draw some leaves on the top and the bottom of the page, which I panted with the Oakleaf Olive spray...

Now let me tell you how I created the tittle. I used all the embossing powders of the set on the chipboard letters: while I was holding the chipboard letter with a nipper I poured some powder on the upper half and another color on the lower half. I dried it with the heat gun and at the end I did some doodling with the permanent pen. Really fun process, don't you think?

That was all for today. I hope you got some inspiration from my 'Color your world' #2 project.

Just go...

Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharing a layout for Lindy's Stamp Gang
Once again, I was inspired by the amazing moodboard of the March Color Challenge with all these beautiful party balloons, so I decided to make some by myself on my page. You can see me drawing these balloons and all the process step by step - I hope you will enjoy the video!

For this page I used the March 2015 Limited Edition Spray Set plus the Frozen Jack Frost StarburstMadonna Robe Blue Gold and Geranium Coral Blush embossing powders.

To make the background I used the sprays with some water and watercolors. I also used several colors of inks with stamps.

I used the embossing powders to alter the chipboard pieces - actually they are chipboard leftovers and I love adding them in my projects.

As you can see, in this project I didn't use a lot of embellishments because I wanted to focus on the background. I really love using different media in order to create an interesting background and that' s why I used a white card stock as a base.

To create the balloons I used a permanent pen, a pencil, the spray set and watercolors. To make them more real I glued some thread under each of them. I had really fun time drawing and painting them and I love how they look!

Here is my video, I hope you will enjoy the process!

With this layout I'm joining the challenge #10 Birds of a Feather at The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge where we have to create something that reminds birds. Well, I included two wood veneer birds in the composition and a ticket with a bird. I also combined the idea of a flying bird with the balloons - how awesome would it be to hang over those balloons and just go up to the sky and travel all over the world!

To the moon and back!

Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharing a page I created for Lindy's Stamp Gang

This time I used three colors of the set: C'est la vie Cerise, A Bit o'Bubbly and I'm Late, I'm Late Slate. I wanted blue and orange shades on my page and that's why I choose the first two colors. The third color was also a perfect match as it has the same shade with the paper I used. This helped a lot to blend the blue and orange mixed media background with the color of the paper. To create the background I made a lot of splashes with the sprays and also blended them with watercolors, watercolor pencils, a 3D paint and inks.

I also sprayed the flowers in order to give the same shades of the background and create a balance to the project...

I altered some chipboard pieces with the  Cosmic Pink Blue embossing powder. This is really a fun way to use the chipboard leftovers on your project, it gives an awesome look on it!
The crescent moon has been designed by my 6 years old daughter. She was very happy watching me scrapping her picture and wanted a moon to match with the quote. I really liked her sketch, so I cut it with my scissors and glued it on the page. I also strapped on it some jewelry wire with some stars sequins :)

With this project I'm entering:

...and the Scrap Memory 'Step by Step' challenge.

That was all for today!
I hope you got some ideas and I can't wait to see your projects for our March Color Challenge!
 Have a lovely Sunday!

dance with me

Hello everyone!
This is my page for our beautiful, cute and sweet color challenge at Lindy's Stamp Gang.

...and this is the moodboard with the beautiful colors...

I was inspired not only by the photo, but also by the amazing color pallet: I love this color combination and I used all the sprays from the  March 2015 Limited Edition Spray Set to create the background and color the flowers,  plus the Cosmic Pink Blue and Hyacinth Blue Jade embossing powders on the chipboard feather.

I hope I'll see your beautiful projects for our challenge and maybe you will be one of our 5 winners for a 50$ gift to the Lindy's Stamp Gang online store!

mirror mirror

Happy March everyone!
Our new challenge at Scraps N Pieces is up and it's about Fairytales...!

You can interpreted the photo in every way you like - get inspired by the pastel colors, or the flowers... The only thing you have to do is to include in your journaling or title the word 'fairytale' or anything has to do with fairytales.
Ι used the quote 'Mirror Mirror' from one of my favorite fairytale 'Snow White' and combined it with another non fairytale quote:

Beauty is what you feel about yourself,
not about what you see in the mirror.

To create the background of the composition I used a script stamp with LSG embossing powders (Hyacinth Blue Jade and Angel Wings Gold) and LSG sprays (Flat Fabios: Caribbean BlueC'est la vie CericeSouth Shore Sand) to make some splashes. With the above media I also sprayed the flowers and embossed the wood veneer horses, wings and chipboard pieces.

So, what do you think?
Will you play for the chance to win a beautiful prize from the Scraps & Pieces Emporium store?
I can't wait to see your fairytale creations!
