Journal page #9 *with video

Happy Sunday!

This is my new journal page I created for ColourArte with video tutorial.

You know how much I love ColourArte products and always find a way to use them on my projects.

The colors of all kind of products are so beautiful and vibrant and it is really a pleasure to work with them in all kind of projects! So I hope to stay for another term as a video creator and share with you many more projects with video tutorials.

For this project I used...

My vintage heart *video

Hello dear friends!

Today I'm hosting the Finnabair
blog with a new page at my black journal.

I hadn't played in my black journal for a while, so I thought it was the right time to create a new page and share with you the process in a video I made especially for you.

I used some acrylic paints as well the White Crackle Paste and had so much fun playing with Modeling Paste and the new texture brushes creating patterns and textures over and over again.

To add even more interest to the textures on my page I added Art Stones and Mini Art stones, which turned to be my favorite supply -  they are so perfect for every kind of mixed media art!

When I was done with the background, I decided to add something metal on my project and I used one of the Mechanical Hearts. I really love it because it looks already vintage and rusted, so I kept it as it was! I only added some of the Rust Pastes here and there to  give to the page a more vintage look.

I hope you will enjoy my process and get some new ideas on how to play with Texture Pastes and Texture Brushes.

Art in a frame

Happy Sunday dear friends!

Today I'm hosting the ColourArte blog 

and sharing a small project in a frame I created for my art wall.

I used only a few supplies and with only three steps I ended with a beautiful art piece.

For my project I used:

ColourArte products

• Silks: African Jade, Vintage Mint, Terracotta Rose, Rustic Rose, Black Ice

Other products:

• White Heavy Gesso
• 3D Gloss Gel
• wire
• Art Stones
• Metal Butterfly
• black plastic grass

Step 1. I applied with a sponge a little bit of gesso all over the surface, particularly on the spot I wanted to be the circle with the butterfly.  

Step 2. I glued everything down with 3D Gloss Gel and let it dry.

Step 3. I used my favorite colors of Silks to paint the embellishments.

I sprayed some water here and there to make to paint more fluid.

I also made some splashes with the Black Ice Silk.

And that was it!

Pretty easy and quick, don't you think?

Of course it's already hanging on my wall :)
