dream in black

 Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharing my first project as a ColourArte DT member. I’m so excited to be in this amazing team and can’t wait to share more projects with you!

It's the fourth page of my black journal of quotes. I just can't have enough of this dark and mysterious background - still haven’t made the cover yet.

I chose this time to use the word ‘dream’ as a favorite word and thing to do. I wanted to keep it simple and focus on this word, so I decided to use only one more chipboard piece, gold thread, shiny flakes, gesso and of course a lot of colors! Using only such material helps also to keep my journal flat, which is very important to me.

So, here are the ColourArte supplies I used:

Chipboard pieces: The first thing I did was to paint  the word ‘dream’ with the Solar Gold silk. I put quite a few coats of color in order to get a thick and shiny result. I also painted with the same color the other chipboard piece Then I glued them on the page.

Background: Next thing to do was to use the Radiant Rain Mists, in order to create a beautiful colorful background. I sprayed with all the colors here and there and left the Pewter as the last to spray with – I really love this color!!! Then I made a lot of splashes with the silks to give an even  more shine and glaze look and the two Primary Elements colors for texture. I really love how all these amazing and different types of colors blend together and create such an amazing look on black surface.

Last thing to do was to make some splashes with the white gesso and glue the tread and the shinny flakes. That’s all!

I hope you got some ideas on how to use your ColourArte supplies on black surface.
Have a lovely crafty day!

in dreams...

Ηello again!
This is my layout for our Dreams challenge at Scraps N Pieces.

It is based on a dreamy moodboard made by... Me :)
The only rule of this challenge is to use the word dreams/dreaming/dreamer/etc on your project!

I used all the colors of the moodboard, the quote, I got inspired by the magical feeling it gives and also made a dream-catcher with 2 Crafty chipboard circle and gold thread...
In order to create the dream catcher, I found a tutorial on the web and followed the instructions. It's pretty easy and fun and I love the result! Ι stamped the word dream in the center of it and used it as a source of a color explosion!
Ι also used paper from 7 Dots Studio which I torn it into pieces to create some floating rocks...
Actually they are floating in blank and the girl who is going to 'swim' in the air is me,  after all it's my dream :)

searching for the meaning

Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharing a canvas Ι made for Lindy's Stamp Gang

For this project I used all the sprays of the set, plus the Cosmic Pink Blue and Queen Sheba's Silver embossing powders.
In order to create a mixed media background I decided to do something different that usual: I put away my stencils and used a stamp with the two shades of embossing powders. I really love this bright effect and I'm deferentially satisfied with the result!
Of course I did a lot of painting and splashing with the sprays and had fan :)

I also prepared a video for you with the process!

Here are some shots of the details...

...and here is the video:

I hope you enjoyed today's project and got some ideas!
Have a lovely crafty time!

create feelings

Hello there!
Today I want to show you a layout made with the Lindy's Stamp Gang  January 2015 Limited Edition Spray Set! It is about dreamworld and what happens there, so I wanted to give to my page a lot of sparkle, flow and a bit of fascination!

Now, let me tell you some basic steps I follow to create a page. As usual, I choose a photo from the internet - this is always the first step. According the theme and the colors of the photo I match the paper sheet, the embellishments and of course the color pallet of the media (here I used mists and gesso). Then I start with the background: for this page I applied some gesso and after that I had a lot of fun with the mists. I prefer to spray not directly on the paper, rather on a small clear plastic surface and do something like a stamping work. This creates a watercolor effect, which I absolutely love doing on my projects...

...after that, I like to stamp with several stamps, in order to create an interesting mixed media background. I also love doing a lot of splashes at the end of the process.

I also had to alter the chipboard frame and the flowers in order to match the color pallet of my page, so I painted them with the purple mists and then glued some purple sparkly dust on them...

For this page I followed the sketch by 'We Create Together'...

...and got inspired by the 13arts 'Space in my head' challenge

That's all for today, I hope you got some inspiration - Don't forget our January Color Challenge which is still running. Have a wonderful week!
