Happy Life mini canvas

Hello everyone!
Today's project is for our challenge at Frosted Designs:
"All In The Family" Your project (layout, card, art journal page, mixed media piece, etc) must focus on family and include a quote about family somewhere on it.

I created a mini canvas with the 7DotsStudio Messy Head collection and it's already hanged on the wall among some family photos.
I used a big metal heart in the middle of the composition and decorated it with some flowers, buttons, chipboard pieces, a small handmade (with mold) frame, lace, sequins and Messy Head stickers.
I really like this collection, the blue and pink color combination is one of my favorites!
Other media: water colors, mists, gesso.
Here are some details...

With my project I'm entering the Words&Paintery challenge:

I used the color pallet as well as sequins and glimmer mist to add shimmer and shine to my project.

That's all for today,
'see' you soon :)

winter lantern

Hello everyone!
Today I'm hosting the Frosted Designs blog with a layout about winter and what I love about it: lanterns! I love the contrast between their cozy feeling and winter's cold. It's like magic!
Here is my page:

I choose a sheet with chevron pattern to use and blue shades of gelatos and watercolors to create the background. To decorate my page I used some flowers, buttons, lace, thread, sequins and snowflakes stickers.
Here are some details:

For my page I got inspired by this beautiful snowy but also warm and cozy moodboard from Scrap Around the World December's challenge:

There are so many ways this moodboard can be used for inspiration. I wanted to take advantage of every detail of this board and use them on my composition: the blue/red/white/brown shades, chevrons (the paper pattern and a stencil I used), doilies, snowflakes, branches, even a small light bulb, all these stuff are on my page!

I also used this sketch from the Creative Club "Simple pleasures"

Thank you very much for stopping by today,
have a beautiful rest of the day!

Different is good

Hello dear friends!
I'm here today with a new page for the Frosted Designs Friday challenge: our theme is 'Fall'!

For my layout I used a paper from the 7Dots Domestic Goddess collection and Nature Walk stickers. I also used some mists, gelatos, stamps, gesso and a page from an old book.
I found my photo on Pinterest and I really like it, not only because of those umbrellas which fit the Fall theme, but also for the heart shaped umbrella which makes the difference and gives interest to my project. I love making the difference in simple everyday things,  I love changes and Fall is when usually we make some new beginnings...

So, I hope you like my page, don't forget to check out our challenge at Frosted Designs and have fun creating something beautiful and autumnal :)

With this page I'm entering the 7Dots challenge with the theme 'A new beginning'.
This theme and also the DT work were really an amazing inspiration to create my page!

I love shoes

Hello everyone, today I'm hosting the Frosted Designs blog!
I have a little secret to share... I love shoes! Actually I have an obsession for any type or style of them and I just can't have enough :) I wanted for a long time to make a page about this passion of mine, so here it is!

In order to create a mixed media background I used quite a few stamps, a mask, inks, mists, gelatos and gesso. I always do this to create texture and give dimension to my pages, but this time I also did a new technique, something different to have more fun while I was playing with my stuff. I realized that I haven't used my embossing powder for a very long time, so I decided to give it a shot with my mask (to the past I used embossing powder only with stamps) and leave aside my 'precious' gesso (of course I used gesso, but only here and there with my spatula:). I applied the VersaMark watermark stamp pad directly on the mask, then I removed the mask and spread the embossing powder. Of course at the end you'll have to heat it with the heat tool - it is not so easy or quickly like using the gesso, but I totally recommend this  technique, the result is amazing, trust me!

As a final touch I love to make doodles and outlines on my projects with a permanent pen (usually black) like I did with the big star. This star is made of watercolor cardstock and has a perfect surface to work with many different media on it. I just love it on my page!

***my page is based on this beautiful sketch by Scrap365

***I' m also playing at the Berry71Blue challenge 'Things we love'

Well, that's all for today, until the next time have a lovely crafty rest of weak!

This time I created a single page for my two design team spots, as I still using my scrappy bag for vacation (thank God there are a few more supplies left in there).

So the challenges are awesome as always:

And Frosted Designs's challenge for the next two weeks is about Stamps!
Scrapmatts is offering up a prize pack of chipboard valued at over $30.00!!!
All supplies on my page are from the Frosted Designs store: the Studio Calico Printshop paper pad and Sundrifter Cardstock die-cuts, gelatos, mists and gesso. If you want a full supply list please visit this post at the FD and you will see it below my page.

So, what are you waiting for?
The challenges are awesome and the prizes are great too!
Maybe you will combine our challenges like I did so and I hope to see your projects there :)

cHeRries

Hello everyone!
It is August already and that means that the summer is almost gone here in Greece... but there is still time for some swimming and relaxing at the beach! These days I'm at my parent's summer house with my family and I have only a few scrappy supplies in my bag, so I had to do something only with those.... and this is my page!

As always I did a lot of stamping and masking with gesso, gelatos and mists! I also wrote a few times the word 'cherries' in the little squares  like a crossword to add more interest to my page!

***Page inspired by sketch from Berry71Blue and mood board from 13arts (I picked the first color combo red-green-white and I used red and green mists:)

That's all for today, I hope you have a wonderful rest of week!

my recipe challenge!

Hello everyone! Today it is my turn to host the Friday challenge at Frosted Designs! After a lot of thinking I decided to go with three of my favorite things I use for my creations, so here is my recipe challenge:

You have to include on your project at least one from each 'ingredients' or more, whatever you like!
For my page I used a lot of stamps as always, because I like to blend the patterns of them to create my own background on the paper. I colored some stamped flowers with my gelatos - I love the watercolor effect they make! I used one mask again with the gelatos and then I highlighted some spots with my pen. Finally I used the Maya Road bicycle paperclip which I think is very cute, some decorative pins, a couple of Petaloo flowers and buttons. The paper is from the Studio Calico Printshop collection and I absolutely love the pattern!
I hope you like the recipe and I can't wait to see your creations with these three 'ingredients' :)

A moment in time

Hello everyone!
Today I'm very excited because it is my very first post at Frosted Designs as a Design Team member!

My page is about 'a moment in time' and how it can change everything in life... I used a picture I found on pinterest - I love using pictures I find on the internet, it is always an inspiration for me.

I used a sheet from the Studio Calico PRINTSHOP paper pad and I have to say that it was a hard selection to stand out a paper from this amazing collection, the patterns are so beautiful and can coordinate with all styles and media, the possibilities are endless! As you can see at the closeups below, I used quite a few stamps and masks with inks, mists, gelatos and gesso and I always do that, to create texture and give dimension to my pages.
If you want to see more closeups pop out at Frosted Designs blog :)

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you got some inspiration from my page!
Until next time, have a  wonderful weekend!
