Thoughts of a day | art journaling

 Hello dear friends!

Today I'm sharing an art journal page I created last night.

I was playing with my watercolors creating abstract shapes and shades.

It was so fun and relaxing not thinking what to do... just painting.

When my page was dry I looked at the shapes and let my imagination fly.

I started doodling with only a black pen and here is the result!

All these beautiful designs appeared in front of me, coming of nowhere.
What an unexpected surprise really!
At the end I added a piece of thread to connect the mother with daughter.

List of supplies (really short:)

Cute sad bird - Art Journal page

Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharing a project I created inspired by Tamara Laporte (Willowing).
I'm a subscriber in her You tube channel and when I saw her tutorial I got so inspired that I went straight to my desk and made my own version of this cute fairy bird with the sad face and these amazing bright colors.
I just love it!

I tried to follow all the steps of the tutorial even though I didn't have the supplies Tamara used (watercolor pens and pencils) for this project and I think I turned out pretty well.

I used the H2Os watercolors by ColourArte I had in my stash, a black pen
and 7 Dots Studio stickers.

Thanks to this bird, I also decided to start a new Journal 30x40cm
which is the biggest journal I ever had lol.
This journal will be only for watercolor projects :)

Here is my VIDEO on how I creted this page.
I hope you will enjoy the process as much as I did.

Xmas ATCs

Hello, hello!
Today I'm sharing my first Christmas project for this year
for Mixed Media Place Creative Gym!

This month challenge is host by our amazing and talented Tusia!
Create a Xmas card, tag or ATC (only small forms are allowed).

I wanted to make some Christmas ATCs  for 6 special scrappy friends of mine and this challenge was the great opportunity to make the decision and get started working!

I had these craft chipboards in my stash for a long time waiting for the right moment to transform into art pieces. They are only 2,5x3,5" and that was a challenge for me to work with so small areas.
I used papers, tags and stickers from the 7 Dots Studio Yuletide collection, a Christmas collection perfect for seasonal projects.

I placed all six of them on my craft desk and started working. First I used gold and red embossing powder with stamps to create a beautiful base to work on it.

Then I glued all the embellishments and worked with H2Os watercolors and a paintbrush on several spots.  I also painted the chipboard pieces and the flowers with them.

Last thing to do was to make a shiny glue with 3D Gloss Gel and gold glitter. 3D Gloss Gel dries clear, so I wanted a little bit of sparkle to be shown on the finished project, that's why I added the gold glitter. I used it to glue some Art Ingredients like gold Glass Glitter and ruby Glass Beads, pretty Christmas colors, don't you think? :)

So, will you play with us at Mixed Media Place?
I can't wait to see your small form projects!

Enjoy every moment

Hello dear friends!
Today I'm sharing a fun and colorful layout I created for 2Crafty Chipboard.

I had this cute photo with my daughter playing and painting at school,
so I wanted to make a cute and playful page.
I chose from the Word Circles Set 1 the words 'smile', 'happy' and 'today' - they are so cute for this page and I love how they look in the composition!
I also used a butterfly and a doodle frame.

I order to alter my chipboard pieces, I used watercolor paints H2Os and I painted them with a paintbrush.

For the circle words I also spread some embossing powder here and there to make it look even more interesting. I really love the result!

For the doodle frame I used the same colors I used on the rest of the chipboard pieces.
I cut it in half and placed the two parts in different spots to make the page look more funky.
