tiny canvas #2

Happy Sunday!
Today I’m sharing a tiny canvas I created for ColourArte. It’s really a quick and easy project to do, it only took a few minutes to paint it!
To create this project I used:
ColourArte products
Other products:
  • small canvas 8×7 cm
  • Finnabair Black Gesso
  • Finnabair white crackle paste
  • Finnabair white sand paste
  • Metal embellishments
  • chipboard embellishment (for the roof)
  • wire
  • screws
  • word sticker (7 Dots Studio - Domestic Goddess)
  • package card stock
  • craft glue
First I cut the package chipboard in a house shape and glued it on the back side of the canvas. Then I covered everything with Black Gesso. When it was dry I applied the two texture pastes (crackle and sand paste) here and there. I placed the chipboard and metal embellishments in the wet pastes (they work as a glue) and left it dry naturally for 5 hours.
After it was dry I spread with a dry paintbrush the three colors of the Primary Elements here and there. I sprayed with water and dried it with a heat gun. Then I applied a thin coat of Clear Glazewith a paintbrush to make the Primary Elements permanent.
Next step was to highlight some spots with the Vintage Mint. I applied it with a dry paintbrush here and there. I really love this color because it gives a vintage touch at the project.

Last step of the painting process was to make some splashes with the Siam White H2O. You have to spray some water in the jar to activate the color and wait for a couple of minutes. Then your color is ready to use.

At the end I added two screws and twisted the wire in order to create a hanger for the little canvas. I also glued a sticker with my tittle: ‘Unknown’.
Here are some more closeups…

This is the first tiny canvas I created,
you can see it in this post

Thank you for visiting,

Have a lovely crafty day!

hello snails!

      Hello everyone!
Today I'm hosting the 2Crafty blog with a layout I created about nature.

I found this super cute photo on Pinterest and went straight to my desk to scrap it!
I also made a step by step video with all the process and I hope you'll enjoy it :)

For this page I used a lot of 2Crafty chipboard pieces, not only leaves and flowers, but also some leftovers which always love to use on my projects!
In order to alter the chipboard pieces I used LSG embossing powders. They are so easy to use and give to the chippies this amazing and awesome look!
I really like how they turned out!

Take a chance

Hellor everyone!
This is my first page as a DT member for Scraps n Pieces  a Greek challenge blog - there you will have not only fun with the challenges, but you will find many tutorials and more!
Thank you very much for the invitation, I'm very excited to be a part of this great team!

GET LUCKY!

Our first challenge for 2015 is themed 'Get Lucky' and all you have to do is to include in your project anything that brings luck in your life or the word luck/ lucky, etc... I used a small pomegranate - here in Greece the pomegranate is a sign of good luck :)

For my page I used the sketch from the Art Piaskownica:

Αυτά για σήμερα, περιμένω να δω τις δημιουργίες σας κορίτσια!

That's all for today,
I hope to see your creations for our challenge at Scraps n Pieces!

Me and myself

Hello dear friends!
Today is the 1st of the month and we have a new sketch challenge at Scrap Africa!
Here is my page...

...and this is our beautiful sketch Denise created:
My page is about spending some time alone and how important is that to me. I really love staying at home, relaxing and do what I like (like scrapbooking:), or do nothing - some times the only thing I want is a cup of hot chocolate and warm socks, don't you think?
In order to give a warm and cozy look to my page I used a paper and some stickers from the 7Dots Studio Domestic Goddess collection (my favorite collection ever!), a lot of flowers and buttons and a ribbon with pon pons :)

With page I'm entering the cozy challenge at 7Dots Studio...

...and the Art Piaskownica challenge about:

That's all for today,
'see' you soon!

bloom

Hello friends!
This is a layout I made and inspired from this beautiful sketch from Scrap365 challenge blog...

The paper I used is from 7Dots Studio Domestic Goddess collection incorporated with  Nature walk collection stickers.  I also used white gesso and mists for masking and did a lot of stamping as always... This is my second entry at 7 Dots Studio July's challenge, I just can't have enough :)

That's it for today, hope you like it!

cherries

Hello everyone and have a nice July!
I can't believe that the first month of the summer is already gone...
Anyway, this is my page for our sketch challenge at Scrap Africa: cherries!
This is the sketch Denice created and as you can see it requires two photos...

...but I decided to use a single photo and cut it in two pieces to create the two photos effect.
I don't know who is the manufacturer of the paper I used for my page, but I really like it because it fits perfectly with the retro feel I wanted to give. I incorporated it with some 7Dots Studio (Domestic Goddess collection) stickers, alphas and chipboard pieces and a piece of green paper (Basic Grey 'Origins'). Of  course I did a lot of stamping and masking and had a great time...:)

I think now it is your turn to create something beautiful,

Guest spots...

Hello! I am really happy and proud to be a guest designer for two challenge blogs this month,  since I had won the previous month their respective challenges that I had taken part.
The first layout is for Scrap Africa, based on April's challenge sketch that runs from today:

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The second layout is for Scraps & Pieces' challenge named "treasures". You can create what ever you want as long as you include the word 'treasures'. I wrote 'treasures' in the heart at the bottom right.
