Bluebirds - Guest Designer at B71B

Πριν από λίγες μέρες είχα κερδίσει στην πρόκληση 'FORGET ABOUT MODERATION AND GO CRAZY' του Berry71Blue  και τώρα με αυτή τη σύνθεση επιστρέφω ως GUEST DESIGNER για την τρέχουσα πρόκληση της Vicky:

Hello everyone! Few days ago I won at Berry71Blue challenge 'FORGET ABOUT MODERATION AND GO CRAZY' and today I'm back as GUEST DESIGNER  for the current challenge:

White Christmas!!! (or white winter for those that don't celebrate Christmas)Create whatever you want as long as it has a white background as a base and is related to Christmas/winter...

Άσπρο φόντο λοιπόν και χειμωνιατικο τοπίο... Ο συνειρμός πάει αμέσως σε χιόνι, έτσι δεν είναι? Βρήκα λοιπόν την κατάλληλη ευκαιρία που έψαχνα, να χρησιμοποιήσω αυτή τη φωτογραφία με τα χαριτωμένα μπλε πουλάκια (τα οποία δεν ζουν εδώ στην Ελλάδα) που κάθονται το ένα δίπλα στο άλλο για να ζεσταθούν, μέσα στο χιονισμένο τοπίο... Τι τρυφερή σκηνή!

Η ιδέα μου ήταν να δημιουργήσω μία απλή σύνθεση πάνω σε λευκό χαρτί, που να αναδεικνύει την πανέμορφη αυτή φωτογραφία: λίγα χαρτιά το ένα πάνω στο άλλο με την φωτογραφία στην κορυφή, πάνω από ένα λευκό φάκελο και όλα καρφιτσωμένα με ένα συνδετηράκι. Ένα χαρτί με πεντάγραμμο βαλμένο σαν κλαδί κάτω από την φωτογραφία, δύο-τρία στολίδια (η Prima λάμπα με την λέξη care=φροντίδα, έγνοια νομίζω ότι ταιριάζει τέλεια!) και μερικές σφραγίδες να πλαισιώνουν την σύνθεση. Δεν θα μπορούσε να λείψει το gesso βεβαίως βεβαίως - γίνεται χιονισμένο τοπίο χωρίς gesso? Και φυσικά μερικές σταγονίτσες γαλάζιο glimmer mist σαν τελική πινελιά ;) 

Vicky's challenge demands white background as a base and is related to winter. The first thing one will think is "snow", isn't it? So... I found the right chance I have been looking for to use this beautiful photo with those cute little bluebirds (what a shame they can't be found in Greece) sitting next to each other to warm themselves. What a tender moment this is! 

My idea was to create a composition that highlights this beautiful photo: few pieces of paper placed carefully on top of each other,  a white envelop, the photo placed on tool of everything and a paper clip. I placed a paper with music sheet as a branch under the photo, a couple of embellishments (the Prima light bulb with the word "care" was perfect for this) and some stamping. Of course my favorite gesso is present - you can' t have snow without it, wright? And finally few drops of Patina glimmer mist as the final touch ;)

Get Creative - 4 reasons to love Winter

Τέσσερις λόγοι που μου αρέσει ο Χειμώνας.... Το καλοκαίρι είναι η αγαπημένη μου εποχή, αλλά τώρα έχουμε Χειμώνα και πρέπει να συμβιβαστώ με αυτό. Έτσι σκέφτηκα να βρω τουλάχιστον τέσσερα ωραία πράγματα που μου αρέσουν, μπας και συμπαθήσω λίγο και εγώ αυτή την εποχή. Γιατί τέσσερα θα μου πείτε? Γιατί το sketch της Μελένιας που παίζει από σήμερα στην πρόκληση του Get Creative έχει τέσσερα 'παραθυράκια'...
Four reasons I love Winter... Summer is my favorite season but now its Winter and I have to compromise with it. So, I thought I should find at least four things I really like, just in case I feel better with this time of year. The reason I chose four things is because Melenia's sketch in Get Creative's challenge has four squares.

Για να πω την αλήθεια δεν δυσκολεύτηκα και πολύ να βρω αυτά τα τέσσερα αγαπημένα πράγματα για τον Χειμώνα και τώρα που το σκέφτομαι κοιτώντας τις εικόνες, νομίζω ότι είναι αρκετά καλοί λόγοι για να τον συμπαθήσω και γιατί όχι, ίσως και να τον αγαπήσω ;)
To be honest, it didn't took me much effort to find those winter things and now that I can think of the images below, I think they are good enough to make me like Winter, maybe even love it!

Once Upon A Sketch - Love for Cold...

Γεια σας! Με αυτή τη σύνθεση συμμετέχω για πρώτη φορά στην σχεδιαστική ομάδα του Once Upon A Sketch για την πρόκληση Δεκεμβρίου με θέμα τον 'Χειμώνα'...
Hello Everyone! This composition is my first entry as a design team member for Once Upon A Sketch December's challenge...

Theme:  It's December...

We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "'It's December.. " however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.

Με τόσο όμορφο Sketch δεν ήταν καθόλου δύσκολο να σκεφτώ τι θα βάλω πάνω στο χαρτί μου. Και λόγω του θέματος η φωτογραφία δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι άλλη από του άντρα μου, ο οποίος έχει ιδιαίτερη συμπάθεια για αυτήν την εποχή (σε αντίθεση με εμένα που λατρεύω το καλοκαίρι:). Προσπάθησα επίσης να συμπεριλάβω σε διάφορα σημεία γραπτό λόγο, journaling στη γλώσσα του scrapbooking, κυρίως εκεί που υποδεικνύει το sketch, αλλά και σε κρυμμένα μέρη όπως το εισητήριο και η ετικέτα αριστερά.

This beautiful sketch gave me plenty of inspiration to create this mixed media composition. Because of  the 'Winter' theme, I chose my hubby's photo who has a particular fondness for this season (unlike me- I love summer :). I also tried to include various points in journaling, especially where the sketch indicates, but also in hidden spots like the ticket and the tag at the left side of the composition.
